  update on Joy and Steve

  i just talked to joy and she said to tell everyone they are fine.

  they lost electricity so can't get on computers.. tornadoes came through awhile ago and killed two people, but they are doing fine, and have 5 strong young fellows, with them, to help when things get too bad later tonight.

  the water is now in their yard, on the yard side of the picket fence, for those who have been there.

  many of you have expressed your appreciation for the work angharad and i have done on the best of series.

  i really appreciate your comments.

  it has turned into quite a task and i really appreciate angharad's assistance in going through the threads looking for those that we think will be most helpful to you.. but it is one thing to see the work and appreciate it.

  i need some advice.

  i have something mentally tearing me up and i think it's been getting to me.

  i have a large extended family (4 siblings) and i have been many nieces and nephews.

  Survived Hurricanes Charley, Frances and Ivan!!!

  i'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  although frances and ivan didn't cause much more than rain to the southwest coast of florida, hurricane charley did strike a terrible blow to my family and i. there's been lots of help financially and otherwise from several institutions throughout this whole area, so there's no worries there.

  the whole experience was so bizarre!!!.

  Material things can be replaced even though some things have sentimental value.

  (Pictures are hard to replace though)

  Glad you had insurance and hope it comes through for you.

  This can be a great help when you need to move things around and pile sandbags. Wet sand is really heavy to shovel, too.

  after a year of inactivity, research and soul searching, i still have one lingering question to the posters out there.

  what are alternate uses of wt books?

  i currently use 4 bound volumes to hold up a couch with a broken leg, we're getting a new couch, so there's 4 back into circulation.
